So, there is a meme going round on the internet that we all cannot wait for our Boaz...that some of us have to be Abigail and wait for Nabal to die for us to have our David. This got me thinking. We as ladies have a defined perception of what we should expect, and the method with which our supposed husbands will find us.
Society has pumped this in our brains ever since we were reading princesses in distress and princes coming to save us from the big, dangerous dragon..(also, guys, if you are raising a daughter, check out rebel girls.they have stories of women that do not need saving).

Anyway, sorry to burst your bubbles, ladies. There are some of us that will literally not have the charming love, and the feeling of wind against our faces. There are some of us that will experience true love after who you thought was your 'One'. There is to manual to love. Even Ruth found her Boaz after her first husband died.  Stop making the mistake of following Society's screwed up version of love, and celebrating it as if it is your achievement. Especially, stop bragging with it because it is not your doing at all. Some things are only God's doing.
